BHM Group acquired portfolio of ten retail parks in Poland valued at more than CZK 1bn (EUR 40m). The acquisition was carried out directly from a developer, which ensures that the parks are modern, sustainable, and state of the art. The real estate is strategically situated in prime locations in close proximity to strong food anchor stores such as Kaufland or Lidl. Modern premises and unique locations of the Retail parks attracted an outstanding mix of tenants with brand names such as Rossmann, Pepco, CCC, Sinsay, Martes Sport or Kik. These large multi-national chains provide broad assortment to its customers and along with strong food anchors create natural points of traffic and interest for the local communities.
The retail parks operate under the brand of ACentrum.
“This investment builds a strong foundation for creation of a new division of retail at BHM Group”
The Group aims to build broad and diversified portfolio of top quality Central and South East Europe. Open-air retail parks proved to be a very stable segment even during the pandemic and are very resilient to economic downturns as they provide opportunities for cost effective convenience shopping. “The concept also provides lower costs to tenants due to lack of expensive common space, efficient layout, and outdoor parking. Additionally, we see on the market a certain shift in shopping habits towards smaller retail formats with good accessibility and every day quick shopping” notes Jan Cerny.
By entering the retail park segment, BHM Group is growing its already strong real estate division, which consists of investments in logistics and residential development. Currently BHM Group manages more than 300k sqm of modern logistics premises in Slovenia, Slovakia, Serbia and Croatia with total value of EUR 300m, while additional tens of thousands sqm of logistics premises are under construction. Our residential activities are primarily concentrated in the Czech Republic around Prague. We have developed more than 400 apartments and family houses with more than 1,000 new units in development phase with total value of more than EUR 200m.
